Gold Double Scallop Shell Necklace with Freshwater Pearl

Inspired by the tides and a moment of luck!  This fully three dimensional gold scallop shell pendant began with an intact shell (both sides still together) found on the shoreline at Derbyhaven in the south of the Island.  Both shells were cast directly from that Queenie and a freshwater pearl now rests between them.  When it moves, it makes a soft sound, almost like it's remembering where it came from.

Scallop shells have long been carried as tokens of travel, hope and safe passage.  On the Island, the Manx Queenie is part of our story, fished with care thanks to years of conservation by local fishermen and the government.

• The pendant is hand crafted in 9 carat yellow gold.
