Gold Lithic Ring

The term 'lithic' is derived from the Greek word for 'rock' (lithos). The bold shaping of this ring is inspired by the way in which ancient stone tools were crafted and shaped by humans (in archeology described as Lithic technology), by knapping the stone by striking one rock against another, scalloping and flaking the tool in to shape.
