Crafted from genuine Queen Scallop shells gathered on Fenella Beach in Peel, beneath the watchful presence of Peel Castle here on the Isle of Man. Each shell was carefully moulded and cast in solid 9 carat gold, resulting in a strikingly contemporary pair of cufflinks with a distinctly nautical feel - a little piece of marine life, beautifully preserved in precious metal.
The Isle of Man is famous for its Queen Scallops or 'Manx Queenie' as it is known here locally. Conservation efforts by both the Islands Government and Manx Fishermen, are ensuring the Queenies can be fished sustainably, providing a future for the precious scallops.
