Careers
Element Isle is an independent jewellery brand rooted in the nature, landscape and heritage of the Isle of Man. Ten years in, we're still as passionate about what we create as we were at the beginning. Probably more so.
We're a small team and it means the work stays personal, the standards stay high and the people we bring into the business genuinely matter. We invest in our team, care deeply about the culture we're building and take pride in everything that leaves our studio and shop.
We're always interested in hearing from thoughtful, creative, hardworking people who care about craftsmanship, attention to detail and doing things properly.
If that sounds like somewhere you'd thrive, we'd love to hear from you.
Trainee Workshop Production Assistant
The Role
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented production operative to join our workshop team. This is an entry-level position and we are looking for someone with the right foundations: a genuine interest in making things well and the kind of careful, patient approach that precision craft demands.
You will work across a range of production and finishing tasks (polishing, assembly, quality checking, materials preparation) and develop your skills progressively within a supportive environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assisting with the production and finishing of jewellery pieces, including preparing castings, soldering, polishing, cleaning and assembly
- Preparing materials, findings and components for production runs
- Basic bench work and general workshop support
- Assisting with stone setting preparation
- Maintaining quality standards and flagging any issues with output
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised and safe
- Supporting with stock management
- Picking up additional studio tasks as the role evolves
What We Are Looking For
- Good manual dexterity and close attention to detail
- Reliable, conscientious and happy to ask questions
- Comfortable with focused, repetitive precision work
- Someone who learns quickly, is organised and reliable
- A positive team player - we are a small team and personality matters
Experience within jewellery, silversmithing, craft, art, model making, production, engineering or similar practical fields would be beneficial, though full training can be provided for the right person.
The Details
Salary: £25,500 – £27,500 depending on experience
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Isle of Man (on-site, workshop-based) with free parking.
Contract: Permanent, subject to a 6-month probationary period
Benefits: Staff discount across all our brands, on-the-job training, skills development pathway
How to Apply
Send us a covering letter and your CV telling us who you are and why this role appeals to you. We care more about your attitude and your potential than your CV, so tell us your story.
