Gold Elm Twig Hoop Earrings

Created in gold from a twig collected on one of our walks in the beautiful wooded Glen nearby our studios. The method of lost wax casting preserves the incredible detail of the small budding branch, creating a beautiful replica of the original in solid 9 carat gold.

To the Celts, elm was associated with elves, and in Greek mythology, with the first elm tree is said to have grown on the spot where Orpheus played his harp after rescuing his wife Eurydice from the Underworld.
