Manx Folklore Sterling Silver Charm Bracelet

A collection of our most treasured stories, crafted by us in precious silver.

This bracelet brings together seven Manx folklore charms, each one sculpted and finished by hand by our team and each tied to something unique in the Island’s history and imagination.

It features:
• The Mooinjer Veggey – the mischevious 'little people' of Manx legend.
• The Fairy Pig – In the tale, Ned Quayle goes out alone on the hills and sees a “little snow-white pig” with a feathery fan-like tail and long ears, described as unlike any ordinary pig.
• Herring King of the Sea – When all the fish of the sea gathered to choose their ruler, it was the modest little herring who outshone them all, and was crowned King of the Sea.
• Moddey Dhoo – the black dog said to haunt Peel Castle.
• The Fairy Cup – Drawn into the Fairy Hill by the Little People, Colcheragh narrowly escapes their otherworldly feast, fleeing at dawn with the enchanted Silver Cup before the fairies could claim him forever.
• The Manx Cat – the Manx cat was late boarding the Ark and when the door closed it caught and severed her tail.  From that day, all her descendants were tailless.
• The Three Legs of Man – the Island’s emblem of strength and resilience - which ever way you throw me, I will stand.

Each charm is cast in sterling silver and carries its own character - some light-hearted, some a little darker but, all part of what makes the Isle of Man and it's rich heritage of folklore and tale what it is.

Worn together, they feel like a tour of the Island in miniature: sea, land, folklore, pride and a thread of 'otherworldly magic' running through it all.

Made slowly by hand, rooted in Manx heritage and designed to be treasured and worn.

• The bracelet measures 19cm (7.5 inches) in length.
• The bracelet is fully adjustable with a lobster clasp enabling you to fasten the bracelet at any point along its length, making it suitable for most wrist sizes.
